Default 2 wd Spindle vs Spacer lift

Hey all

Just paid off my Brandie 6 months early because of my financial advisor, my wife, did a fantastic job squaring me away ha ha. So I now have a couple of payments saved to do a lift on Brandie. I was wondering if it is worth the time to go with a Spacer lift.

Now I have found a deal on Ebay through "Supreme Suspension Lifts" (anyone heard of them) for a 02-08 Dodge Ram 1500 Full 3" Front + 1.5" Rear Leveling Lift Kit for 2WD. I just wondering if it is worth the time and $ involved for a spacer lift and will it last for more than a few years?

Or should I just go with a Spindle lift? I am thinking of the CST spindle lift or a Rough Country full kit from Hammer Head Suspensions. Is this the way to go. I will mainly be on the road but will do some off roading every once and a while.

Depends how much you want to spend. The CST is overpriced IMO but if you just want a cheap GOOD level go with the spindles

I have spacers in my 2wd and the ride is alot stiffer, very harsh if your roads are not smooth don't go with the 2"or higher spacer. But that would mean the truck won't sit level if that's the look you want.
Spindles on the other hand wont change the ride at all it'll be like factory but 3"s higher but they cost more so its really up to you. Cheaper spacers rougher ride, or expensive spindles for factory ride.

Now I just ordered my 3"lift spindles from airbagit's ebay store for 269 so ill let you know this weekend how they fit.

You may also want to get new shocks as well

There are 3" lift spindles available from airbagit.com for a much better price than the 4" CST spindles. You can even search ebay for the spindles that airbagit.com sells and get an even better price. I HIGHLY recommend going this route.

Also, the spindles will not need a longer shock, however I also HIGHLY recommend upgraded shocks but they can wait to spread the cost out a bit more.

I've done both and if I had to do it again, I'd just go straight to the spindles.

This all is just based on only leveling the front of the truck.

Thanks guys for the input, I didn't want to put $$ into the spacers and then just switch it out later with spindles. I was wondering about the ride factor. I'm going with the spindle lift instead and shocks. I'll check out Airbagit.

1Wide7 looking forward to the pictures of your lift. Can you do a step by step on the install that would be sweet.

I can, but there is one already done https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...e-install.html

Just keep in mind he has the 2.5" spacers, a 3" body lift, and 3" spindles so yours wont sit like that but its a good write up for the spindle install.
