Default Transmission slam

2007 Ram 1500 quad cab with a Hemi. Every so often after I back up, when I put it into drive, it jolts a little. Feels as if I was rearended. The fluid level is fine. Any suggestions on what it could be? Is it normal or is it a common problem? Thanks

No. It has 55,000 on it. Doesn't call for a trans service until around 64,000. I was planning on changing the trans fluid and filters.

My 04 has done that since the day I bought it used over two years ago. I have changed the fluid and filters and it didn't change anything. I notice that if I don't stop all the way and shift it into drive, I get no slam, but it I stop all the way, then I shift it into drive, I get the slam.
