Default Possible source of problem

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 and I was having trouble with my rear tail lights, turn signals and brake lights not functioning. The third brake light on the cab was functioning, and all wires to the trailer brake connections had good connections. The brake lights went first with the others following weeks later. After playing with wires for a little while I noticed a light on the dash which looked like a lightning bolt. The wires in the rear looked good, so we followed them back towards the engine. The main chassis wire harness runs along the frame on the driver side and there is a large (~20 pins) connector for this harness (which contains the wires for tail, brake, turn lights, license plate lights, etc.). When I took the connector apart I found four of the pins which had completely corroded away, and several others which were corroding. It seems Chrysler does not sell a repair part for it, and we are planning on trying to locate one in a junkyard. The truck would not run with the connector disconnected, so I'm guessing the power for the fuel pump or oxygen sensors runs through this.
