towing issues w/ behind the grill lights y/n?
I am really thinking of putting in 2 sets of Hella 500's behind my grill, one of each driving and fog. What I have seen so far is only one set behind most trucks. I have a 20' travel trailer to drag around this summer and was wondering what other peoples experiences with air flow to Rads has been. Live in the Interior of British Columbia, so lots of good grades all around. Been pretty happy with the 2007 1500 Laramie quad cab so far. Just miss all the light that I had out the front of my Sierra. Had KC shells with Wagner 4049's in it. Couldn't beat them for going out to the woods logging.
Thanks for any input.

found one reference to overheating and grill lights. but thats all in my last several days of looking. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...ng-lights.html
no issues there but then one set of lights and no mention of trailering. Still curious...

I've not really heard of anyone having issues with overheating because the lights were blocking air flow although I could see four of them blocking a significant amount.
If it were me, just to be on the safe side, I'd get an inexpensive light bar, have seen them on the 'net for as low as $65.

Sorry, but I was just checking in on the forum this morning and had to be to work (and since I got laid off and am only working 16-20 hours a week I really didn't want to be late). Was the first pic that popped up in a search. Didn't have time to find one that was actually on a RAM...
OMG, he is right. I did not even notice it. Good pic of a product that could solve the issue. I was so focused on the skid guard.......blasphemy. WTF ..upchuck, gag, upchuk, gag, but we should all be used to the front of a ford, seeing as we never see the rear.
