No flasher in the traditional sense. It's integrated into the cluster.

I have a 06 Ram and went to the dealer and he said yes about the recall and I asked how long it would take to fix it he said about half a hour because they don't replace the whole switch assy all the do is replace a part in the switch on your truck. Has anybody else been told that and has that worked out ok?

I got a recall letter about a month or two ago about my 06 having flasher problems. I guess from what the letter said is the blinkers on the dash would flash opposite sides and could cause disfunction outside as well. I didnt experience the problem and I dont remember what the years were but you should call a dealership with your vin#. Have them run it and see what recalls you may have and what was fixed or not. Just a thought!

This is a multifunction switch issue.

The flasher relay is what operates the bulbs, so the bulbs should flash in accordance to the flasher relay. If the flasher relay is at fault, the lights wouldn't flash and/or at an incorrect speed. You cannot have a flasher that sends a single signal and have different outputs. Not possible. There is a difernent problem associated with this.

I would venture to guess you have a bad bulb, bad ground or a cluster related issue like a bad directional sensor. Not to be confused with the relay that controls the directional function itself.
