I have a 02 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 4.7 1st gen engine.....it has started to really knock ..i think it is because of the manufactor defect of no return holes for the oil to get to the bottom end....anyhow... i want to replace the 4.7 with a 5.7...is this possible ??? the reason is i am gonna be pulling a 5000# boat and figured i didnt wanna beat the hell out of a little 4.7....can anybody help me by letting me know if a 5.7 will drop into my 02 ??? also what i am gonna run into of things i will need to be changing ??? thanks

Search 'Hemi swap' and you'll find some threads on this and other forums about swapping a hemi for the 4.7
Might be easier to swap in a 5.9 from another 02 Ram, if you can get the computer and wiring harness
