Finding a generic vent cap might be the tricky part. Use the same size hose.

I know this is an old post but what would happen if water were to get into this atmospheric vent?

Your engine would suck a bit of water. I am thinkin' that so long as that line wasn't UNDER water, it wouldn't be all that much of an issue.
