Default Location of EVAP system hose

I have a melted hose on my 02 Dodge Ram that comes from the LDP filter on the evap system up towards the front of the truck. I cannot find where this hose is supposed to attach to since it melted on my exhaust and was just hanging. I believe the hose is called the LEAK DETECTION PUMP FRESH AIR LINE that runs towards the front of the truck along the frame. It is melted off around the middle of my transmission. I cannot find the other side of the hose (if there is one) or where it hooked up to. Thanks.

Do you have a pic of exactly what it is? I know the LDP is located on the front of the EVAP canister mounting bracket, and if it's the air filter tube, I believe you have to buy a complete new leak detection pump as they don't sell any parts separately.

It is number 7 on this diagram (that I think I attached correctly) but the diagram doesn't show the full hose and where the other end goes to.

I looked up the system but couldn't find where it goes so I'll look under my truck in the morning if no one answers first and let you know what I find

The 02 must have a different system from my 06 because I couldn't find any hose that even comes close to the exhaust.

I have downloaded and searched and searched through the service manual but could not find anything other than the picture I posted. It doesn't go to the purge solenoid because the two lines that do go to that are fully intact and traced back. I am at a loss as to where this hose originally went.

I'll try and look under my truck in the morning. i had to replace the pump on my 02 1500 so I know what it looks like. I'm just not sure if my 04 2500 has the same set up. If i find the hose I'll take and post a pic for you.
