2002 RAM 1500 Mode door calibration
My 2002 RAM 1500 doors broke and the air was always blowing to the floor, got the replaced (known problem by Dodge because they had a kit for them). Of course after replacing them the require the actuators to be adjusted with a DRB III scanner, the dealer tried calibrating them but it keeps faulting a mode door (both already replaced).
Don't know if the dealer knows enough about calibrating the system to clear the fault first, they just want to pull the dash out to look at everything. The actuators run in both directions and when you run the air they all work just not in the way it should. When you select the dash it blows on the floor, when you select the floor it blows out the dash. When you select recirc it blows out the defrost. So weird.
If anyone has any suggestions on what it could be or knows of another way to calibrate the actuators without the DRB scanner, I would appreciate Kate any help that is offered.

In one of the repair stories about replacing the doors with aftermarket parts, I saw it mentioned that the system self-calibrates ever 20 starts or so. I could be wrong about the number but that's what my old memory can recall!
