Talking New here, need a little help!

I just bought a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L RWD and i am looking into modding the truck. I was just wondering besides the exhaust and air intake what are other good buys to start with? The truck is ALL STOCK!

Tuner, E-Fan, aftermarket suspension, and the list goes on, you need to be more specific if you want performance or visual?

Many people want to upgrade performance and other go for more of visual and audio

I am looking to go with a performance side of modding, but not really looking to do much internal work on the motor. I was just wondering what brands to buy and what brands to stay away from.

Well you can buy a Superchip tuner which a lot of people on here have and it has preset tunes since your not looking to really dig into the motor. If you plan to dig into motor later go with a Diablo tuner they allow for custom tuning I believe.

As for E-Fans go with Flex-A-Lite, getting rid of your clutch fan frees up some HP

Which model of Superchip would you suggest? I am pretty new to the programmers.

Superchips 3865. U said you had an '06. Means you have the MDS engine. 3865 will allow you th disable the MDS. This is important as if you plan to do work on the exhaust, the MDS will make it sound like a drowning helicopter. Disabling the MDS is why a lot of guys on here buy the 3865 besides all of the performance tuning. Welcome, and keep us posted with your progress.

I didn't think the 2006 4.7L had mds? Also, what would I need to do first after I buy the superchip? I seen where it says to just update the unit and connect to truck then select tuning, but wondering if that is
pretty much it?

sorry, I didn't see you had the 4.7. No MDS on that, but I believe the 3865 will stll work. Once it is updated, you can hook it up and scroll throught the tunes. There are 4 of them. Stock, fuel efficiency, towing, and performance. You can adjust for different size tires, adjust shift points, read and erase check engine codes, and several other things. Check the instruction manual that comes with it.
