I just installed a poweraid Throttle Body spacer and Pweraid intake system on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 3.7 v6. I did have a concern when I reved the engine with the truck just sitting there. At 4000 rpm the engine coffed an cut out... I never tried reving it up before I put the T. B. spacer on, so I was hoping it was a protection setting that was on the computer. When I tried it on the road, it worked great... No problems.. so far I like it.. Can't wait to see if it improves my performance and mileage.

If you have an automatic then your rev limiter is set between 3800 & 4200 rpm...5 spds dont have a rev limiter until it hits redline. Hope this answered your question. They started that crap in late '03 FYI
