Your best bet is to buy the factory filters. A lot of fittment issues reported with aftermarket trans filters for 3rd gen. ATF+4 is what you have to use. It won't burn up the transmission, only failure to ever change it will, but that's like any oil in any truck. It has to be clean to help extract heat and lubricate. Otherwise **** burns up.

check this TSB http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2005/21-015-05.htm mine does the same thing and I know the trans was serviced.. I am thinking they put in the wrong filter.
