Question Revs

Well after posting on here weeks back about my truck stalling at the light and the tach revs up to 700 and back to 500 I found the problem after replaceing the fuel pump and egr and cables and spark plugs and camshaft sensor...It was the CRANKSHAFT SENSOR. Now when I come to a stop the rpm drops to 500 and and stays till i move....NICE..

But Now I have another problem....When i am at the light idleing it feels light it lopes or is missing...any ideas?

its "lopey" because the idle is too low. It should be around 625-650 unless you are custom tuned and have adjusted your idle setting

When you reset the PCM, it auto relearns everything. YOU dont do it. You just reset the PCM and let it do it.

You need a tuner to adjust the idle RPM. I dont think SC can do it but I know Diablo can

So you are saying the rpm should be around 625 - 650 and i have disconected the battery and it still idles at 500 rpm....so what would make it idle so low?

The PCM reads several sensors to determine idle RPM. You can read about it in the Service Manual that is avail through the link in my signature
