I've got the 4.7. I put a JBA cat-back exhaust and K/N intake. The truck has a lot more giddy up.

It all depends on what you consider PERFORM. I have a 2002 4.7L quad Cab that at this moment will run 9.9 in the 1/8 mile .... Next week after I add my FAST MAN ported heads, 212 cams, Custom flash, 2500 stall converter and my new ASP pulley I will be running low 9's in the 1/8 and high 14's in the 1/4 mile.... I can already take our BIG brother (5.7L) to the 1/8 mile but he normally catches up at the big end for a real close race at the traps... I have beat them many times... but I have been edged out up there a few times... they have more HP and there for their top end is what gets me... Im sure after the "Goodies" are installed that will be a thing of the past and I will take the lead and HOLD it all the way to the end of the track... I hope to KEEP pulling away all the way to the end... but the 5.7L makes some good power at 5,000 RPMs and its going to be tough to hold them at bay..... As long as I can do it to 100+MPH I will be happy.

Mopar 4.7 HO Kit will give you another 30 hp. http://www.buymopar.com/store/magnum.html (Scroll down toward the bottom of the page) - However, I think the mod requires premium fuel.

Also, you can free up around 10 - 15 hp by getting rid of the clutch driven fan. If you search the forums there are several who have switched to electric fans.

The H/O kit is NOT worth the money. I have it on my 2002 and im getting the 212's in a few days. I did feel a LITTLE gain but it was not what eveyone HYPED it up to be. I was disapointed with that combo... agian it was an improvment over the stock 4.7L but not much. Your better off stepping up to the 206 cams and keep your stock intake. Those 206's will make your 4.7L a new MONSTER. I have heard NOTHING but great reveiws on those 206 cams. You can get them at KRC and from the FAST MAN.

Good to know. I was considering one for the 4.7 in my Grand Cherokee. I drove a factory 4.7HO jeep and it would leave mine in the dust. I wonder if there is more to the factory HO than the aftermarket Mopar kit.
