Lamp out flashes and dings on my dash literally every 1-5 seconds, and there's no D@mn light out!

 

U most likely have a light ready to go out. Filament making contacting....vibration breaks filament causing your ding.....then filament makes contact again. Have a close look at start replacing bulbs.

 

I had dificulties finding my lamp out in my 07 1500 when I had it... I found the best way is to systematically test each function while parked, one at a time. When you turn on a function, that will activate the lamp out alert which should help you narrow down the search. It turned out that mine was a marker/signal light on the front of the truck in my case.

Same thing on mine. Another really popular "feature" of the Ram. The dinging will stop when the light actually goes out.

Been trying to track down my "lamp out" for a while now. Have new front headlights with bulbs, new tail lights with bulbs as well as new circuit boards. My chime only turns on while braking and left turn signal...I will be looking at the connector and cleaning them.
