My '04 Corvette takes premium. I paid $3.09 a gallon on Friday in rural Northern California. My '05 4x4 1500 ram quad hemi feeds on regular. That costs $2.89. When I started driving, gas was consistently $.299 a gallon. One day I saw a gas war where Simas Bros. in Berkeley sold regular for 19 cents/gallon.
It's $2.73 in Morris, IL (approx. 45 mi SW of Chicago) for 87 octane. Spent $75.00 to fill most of the way up. Have the 34 gal tank. Good thing is with work schedule I only fill up twice a month.
Yeh Avanti, I didnt think about that, good thing I got rid of my bike(1992 Kawa ZX7R) a couple of years ago... even though it would go about 80 miles on 4 gals of 108, it would be far too expensive to ride now especially since I had to change the $10 a piece sparkplugs(4) every tank full! $80 to go 80 miles, I dont think so!!!
Crap I need to move somewhere else... 2.82 for the cheep stuff at the closest place to my house in PA, but about 2.66 near where I work in DE.. Needless to say I get gas in DE...
In Miami, yesterday, Regular 87 $2.71 a gallon and to add insult to injury the pump over here stops at $50. So either I walk away or hang the nozzle and start again to fill it up. Its taking from my drinking money, sometimes I miss my ricer. It was $18 to fill up.
