Clearly it's for hanging your Aux in cable on so it isn't on the floor.

Nice set up
I took the bolt out behind the "hook" and my aux comes out there

AUX? Did that come with a free Walkman? Does that technology interfere with your bag-phone? LOL

Ouch lol! I had a radio with bluetooth that would play my phone wireless through the radio, but im not into loud speakers or fancy radios unless im installing them, so ive slowly gave all my radio equipment away and downgraded.

A little OT, but how else do you get an external source into the factory radio? This one seems to work pretty well...

No need to continue hijacking the thread, my point is auxiliary input isn't dated tech until they quit putting headphone jacks on every device that outputs audio.

I was going to suggest Bluetooth also. On top of that I use an Android app called AudioGalaxy. It uses my data on my device (unlimited data) to pull music from my computer at home where all my music is at and stream it to my phone which in turns streams it wirelessly via BT to my headunit.

It gives me access 100% of the time to 100% of my music and keeps my mem cards free for other crap.
