Will do.

And its ok to mix conventional and synthetic as long as you keep the same viscosity?

YuP! I used dino for the first 5K miles on minefor break in, then switched to synthetic, and never looked back-----I've been using nothing but synthetics for 30+ years for all my equipment that allowed it, never had a problem. Mabey thats why most industrial apps that require long term lubrication use synthetics--just follow the recommended viscosity ratings.

I just got back from the dealer, I was away from home the whole time the truck was in there so this was the first time I was able to speak in person to the mechanic. Good guy, an old school mechanic that went back to school so he could work at a dealership. When I got there he had my pan dropped, there was ALOT of crud in there, I was pretty amazed. He is cleaning it all out and will test drive the truck tonight.
He said when he had the motor apart the cylinders looked awesome for a truck with 90,000 miles, no carbon build up on the pistons or the valves. He also said the compression check was great and the leak down came back at 7%... I am guessing that is pretty good, he said "acceptable" was 25%

Just got home with her. Truck is driving good. Sounds a bit quieter. Idle is a touch rougher than I remember I think, might just be because the ECU only has < 5 miles on it and has had not enough time to adjust. Or I am just remembering wrong.

Gunna do front/rear diff fluid, tranny fluid, and front brakes rotors this weekend.

Heads up on the brakes, Wagner just released a new pad that eliminates the shims, and no noise elimanator compaounds needed. They are a semi metalic ceramic compound. I did mine for the first time around a month ago
http://www.federalmogul.com/en/After...e/Thermoquiet/

I was totally amazed at the difference. Bedding is very simple 35 mph with a normal stop (as if coming to a stop sign) 5 times consecutively

Don't forget the mechanics wire for the calipers!!!

LOL too late. I only was going to change the rotors anyway, the pads are still good.
You safety wire your caliper pins?
