I use POR15 all the time. It works best on a rusted surface. First step is to remove loose rust with wire brush or heavy grit sandpaper. Clean to remove oil/grease, then apply a rust freeze. POR15 recommends their own rust freeze because it doesn't result in a smooth surface. The prep work is fairly easy and you don't need to be overly-meticulous to get a great bond.

yep pretty basic setup for prep, but I don't know if I would say you don't have to be meticulous, my experience is that the more patience and time spent for prep work on paint type jobs the better results you have. But, basic brushing, degreasing and the rust freeze should do it.

For the fender wells do I prep the inside outside or both. Also will the duplicolor scratch and fix paint work after I am done. Does that paint actually match or is there something better. Thanks for the help.
