Hey all. I have a 2005 Ram 1500 QC 5.7L Hemi. I was thinking about putting in a throttle body spacer to increase the MPG (Need it here in CA). But so far everyone I've talked to here at work who has a Ram 1500 Hemi says that it's not worth it. Doesn't do a thing but makes the engine sound "better". Anybody out there give me their opinion? Is it worth it? I've already bought it but haven't put it in. I'm supposed to do that on Monday. HELP!!! (sorry if this is a redundant topic but I'm at work right now and I don't have the time to research in depth).
Thanx

don't do it, dodge engines do not get their fuel injected into the throttle body. all it will accomplish is wasting some money, making the engine louder, and losing some low end torque. I think the only thing that will help in california is a bicycle with two leg power.

TBS are a complete waste, they were originally designed for the old chevy that had the fuel injected into the throttle body. The reason they worked there was it allowed more time for the fuel to mix with the air before entering the combustion chamber. All dodge engines are have direct fuel injection into the combustion chamber. Go ahead and buy one of those "tornados" and waste some more money.
