Okay well I am thinking the problem is at your trailer then, the TIPM system is essentially a computer controlled relay/fuse system, so when it sees a load or circuit it doesn't like it shuts off that entire circuit.

Start digging into your trailer's harness and see if there are any bad grounds or anything that might make the TIPM system act up.

That is honestly the ONLY thing I could think of that would cause that kind of problem after checking everything else.

If you have a friend with a fancy-shmancy trailer with a 6/7 pin connector on it go try to hook your wiring up to that trailer and see if the same thing is happening.

That will verify that the problem is your trailer and not your truck...

Lastly, bring the truck into the dealer and have them flash it according to that service bulletin!!!!

Already hooked up to my neighbours trailer, all lights worked except the ones mentioned above (right turn and brake). I am getting voltage to the plug from the TIPM (tested at the trailer and the back of the TIPM itself).

The only odd thing i'm seeing is that my right turn circuit is a constant 12v even when the turn signal and park lamps are off........left turn shows fluctuating voltage when blinking (as it should). Any chance that is part of the problem?

Ah you didn't say no right side on neighbors trailer! All you said was it worked! That def sounds like tipm. Just for fun Try hooking the trailer up. It may be grounding through the ball, it shouldnt have to but it's worth a shot. If it works when hooked up to the ball, you need to run a ground from trailer to truck.

Also where do the ground wires from the bulb sockets go? Socket to trailer frame, or do the run up the whole trailer to the plug?

IDK much about tipm, thank God my truck predates that. But the constant voltage... Could it be a possible short to ground? Or possibly the tipm trying to constantly "ping" the circuit to see if its ok?

Also maybe go to auto parts store/use a tuner to see if you pull any codes

Sorry, my bad. Was typing pretty fast and must have forgotten to mention that.

They all ground to the trailer frame.

Yeah, i was also thinking it could be a back-feed through the circuit somewhere if some previous owner was messing with the wiring and tied it into a 12v constant source too. I might try just snipping the wire past the TIPM and see if I get the flashing voltage.

I have an OBD2 reader for the GM motor in my TJ, would it be the same connector to hook it up to the Dodge?

I actually have an appt. at a Dodge dealer that is on my way to Moab tomorrow. Going to have them check the truck out.....bonus is i will have the trailer with me too so they can have a look at that too.

well keep us posted... my bet is that there is something very wrong with the TIPM.... Don't forget to bring that service bulletin with you.

If they all ground to the frame of the trailer, try hooking the trailer up to the truck. Or try using a jumper from the trailer frame to a good ground, see if you get light.
