Damn. I've been out of this thread a while. That royally sucks, Nate. This was at the Dodge dealer in Bamburg? I'm scared if anything big ever goes wrong with my truck that I can't fix locally. I don't know where the hell I'd take it.

Good luck, man. Hope it gets resolved quickly and cheaply in your favor.

So just to update....talked to the shop mgr (Hr. Brenner) He agreed that it is a screwed up deal, and the best he can do is come down 100 euros...He said he was trying to figure out a way to do the work under warranty, since they just had the clutch replaced, but there is no way now, since they have to send the parts to Fiat (who deals the Chrysler parts here) The problem was that Fiat is **** about doing any type of warranty work...

Sounds Like A HUGE Mess! Atleast you got them to come down a little.
I figured 700 Euros is about 911 U.S. Dollars. Is that right?

Call Chrysler/Dodge and bitch and moan until they do something about that... I wouldn't take no for an answer.... that service manager is pulling your d***, he just doesn't want to eat the labor and have it look like a loss... I wouldn't be paying him a F***ing dime over the cost of parts.

Will, correct...current exchange rate is like .74 or something....
Izero...it is not the cost of parts that is the problem...it is the cost of labor. They are calculating about 6.5 hours of working time. I would do it myself, but the truck doesn't fit in the garage...

I know, I'm saying I wouldn't pay that labor no matter what.
