Summit is 45 minutes away from here in Cleveland and I had 40 summit bucks, so my muffler and clamps total came out to be 20$

I spent more in clamps than I did the muffler. The right clamps are the most important part. I got the expensive band clamps.

When getting something from a large MFG like Summit or JEGS that they sell a lot of like wheels and mufflers and other cheap performance parts like like K&N filters, wait around for one of their sales. They always got something on sale. Purchase your supplies then for the best savings. Filters and things, buy multiple ones on sale to save you money down the road when you need one. Save you some money and if you don't NEED to change it and just want to change it, wait for something to go on sale somewhere and look around for the good deals.

Didn't have a welder when I did the exhaust. You got to work with the ways you have available to you, It also makes future removal easier with the clamps I got.

You can do it right with clamps too. People got their preferences. Now if it was all SS and for show, then yes, I would definitely weld them. I want the ability to disassemble the exhaust in smaller pieces just to make it easy to handle when lying on my back under the truck. I was thinking about welding flanges on the ends and adding some at certain points along the exhaust just so I'm dealing with smaller pieces.
