Shopping around on summits site and looking on buying the magnaflow 11229 muffler and a y pipe. The stock muffler is a little bit longer then 27" and this magnaflow is 20".

Will that make any difference other then being a little shorter? Does anyone have this setup or something similar?

And also is the Y pipe 3'' in/out like the muffler? Or is a a different size?

 

I believe the Y is 2.5 in and 3 out for the Hemi I'm not 100% though. As for the muffler you'll just need some extra pipe to make up for the shorter muffler but it will be louder too

 

Thanks and I think its the same size for 4.7 and 5.7.I'll have to see how much gap I'll have once it's on, then go from there.

 

I know on 5.7 its 3 all the way out.

 

I have magnaflow, but mine is 3 in and dual 2.5 out. the Y should be 3 in and 3 out, at least I know mine is, but I have Headders on mine also.

 

What magnaflow did you get? The one I was looking at was offset out and centered inlet and I need both offset inlet/outlets.

 

Lol the 5.7 is for sure a 3 inch pipe for header to tail pipe

 

I have the cherry bomb extreme and I know the stock y is a 3out.

 

I got center in Dual out...My Magnaflow muffler was only 17" long. Oh, make sure you buy extra exhaust tubing and if you are not wielding, a spare set of couplings/clamps just in case. I got the Generic 3 chamber design and chose my inlets and outlets from Summit Racing. I got mine when it was on sale for $40. I'm only an hour away from the warehouse in Atlanta so I could go pick mine up.
