In the defense of Dodge, mine is also my first Ram (previously also had a Chevy). Had a 2004 Durango for 2 years but I hated that. Love my truck tho

Carmax bad idea. Most used car places are bad or deemed bad because they sell one or two cars with problems, wether they know it or not and get a bad rap.

Ive heard all of the horror stories on Dodges heck even my grandpa said hed rather me buy a chevy or a new truck for that matter.(Hes a ford Guy). But if you listen to every horror story then you would prolly never buy anything because someone alwyas has a bad experince.

Ive had just as many "Problems" with all of my Trucks. Not one has more than the other, Its going to happen parts fail and things go wrong that why we have Dodgeforum.com lol and heck i took it as a challenge when something went wrong or a part broke.

First Dodge and Def not my last!

No pictures until I can afford to make it pretty Chrome is my favorite color! But I have to see how much repairs cost first. Can't afford to trade it in - I owe what it's worth.

Called the dealer today. They said without a code and with it happening intermittently it will take a long time of testing. The turn signal issue is a recall fix. He thinks the stalling/shut off is a throttle position sensor. He didn't mention any of the other things you guys did. I'm really thinking I'm about to get taken.... again. I don't know anyone who can comptently check it out for me, so I really have no choice but to take it to the dealership. I can't have it shutting off while I'm traveling the interstate. That is just too scary! But I've copied all of your responses, even the new one from 1500hemi4x4. Thank you all so much!!!!

When it shuts off, does it just suddenly go out like someone cut the power, or does it slow/stutter/stumble first?

Hope you get this resolved...

If there is another dealer close-by I would take it to that one to get a second opinion...

Also PRINT OUT THE Technical Service Bulletins!

Use these links:

http://www.automd.com/tsb/dodge_m/

http://dodgeram.info/tsb/index.html

The second one is likely a better option...

Really hope you get it all fixed!
