Also think about changing the thermostat and hoses. Really easy to flush the block with the thermostat removed.

just replace the radiator to get yourself going.... I've replaced radiators on the side of the road before, as well as a few parking lots over the years on one of my cars, friends cars, etc.

If you have the time and $ replace the water pump, timing belt (and related components) and thermostat to safe yourself trouble down the road.

Not sure where the plug(s) is for the 4.7.
On the 5.9 there was only one even though teh manual said there were 2 .
My plug was just above the oil pan on the passenger side towards the front of the block.

he's talking about the drain plug... which is almost always located along the bottom of the radiator, usually under the lower radiator hose connection...

had same issue.here driving to Florida. truck got hot and pulled over to find antifreeze all over engine. didn't see any leaks topped it off and went on my way. later down the road truck over heated and lost all antifreeze due to the side tank seam busted. with help from the guys here someone was able to send me the steps to replace it via a post and was up and running in a couple of hours and on my way to daytona.
