I knew that if you beef the tranny up to much that you put extra strain on your rear end and Tcase but i thought it would have to be alot of power?

No not always... the only time a "beefed up" drivetrain system will hurt other parts is if you are increase the torque in which is outputted to the rear end and axles.

So unless he is going to go with a high stall TQC he shouldn't have too much of an issue with the OEM rear end, but he should still take the cover off and really give it a good look.

Unless I was towing >5000# daily or putting down >350WTQ I wouldn't bother with "upgrading" anything and I'd just keep it simple and replace everything with nice new OEM parts and call it a day.

Default Parts ordered

Ok I got the Transmission ordered Friday should be here by Thursday.
Also Ordered a Ebay inatake and Superchips Vivid Linq.
I wish I would have done the tuner before so I had some real numbers other than seat of my pants but I will be able to get a digital time slip off the tuner once its on.
I'll post up more info as parts start showing up!

Default Vivid linq

SORRY IN ADVANCE THIS IS A LONG POST I'M KINDA PISSED:

OK guy/gals,
I received my Superchips VIVID LINQ yesterdays so I unboxed it and attached a pictures for your viewing pleasure...
That is where the fun stopped, If I had only one word to discribe what was in the box would be JUNK...
First off the USB cable that came in the package is junk wouldn't connect the tuner to the computer I also tried my phone since they share the same port and nothing. At least I had a good cable for my phone to use...
So I proceeded to connect the tuner to my PC as the instructions stated, 1.5hrs later I had finally achieved this (this should have taken 10 mins.), and I must say the PC software is junk.
So I proceeded to go out and hook the tuner up in my truck and start banging gears (at least the first 3 since 4th is gone, I figured I could get some 0-60mph comparisons...)
Not so fast, after 2 hours of trying to get this POS tot pair with my phone I decided to quite since my phone battery died and I was running out of gas in the truck...

So I've sent a hostile EMAIL to superchips this morning if they don't reply I'll be sending this POS back to amazon and finding someone local to tune my truck...

yeah I guess so.... well I'd just call customer service and see if they can walk you through, be polite and they'll help more... at least that is my experience anyway.

I know for a fact people have major problems when using Macs and Superchips software so I hope that isn't the case.

If you do a "custom local tune" go through HEMIFEVER!
Sorry about the SC tho!
