Tranny Slipping - HELP
Vehicle on sig 03 1500 hemi 4x4
Started slipping going up hill under load
Won't double down shift when going up hill and flooring it until RPMS get over 4000
Drive normal 90% of the time except
Will slip occasionally when floor on flat ground.
BUT turning OVERDRIVE off cures problems.
Any Ideas???

Since this is your first post... we'll need a little more information on what engine and if it's an auto or manual trans...?
Also when was the last time you changed your trans and rear diff fluid?

More Info would be great..... on when you did mant. last? If you service it now and still acts up you prolly have already burned up one of your clutches or more.
Smell your tranny fluid....what do you smell?

Sorry guys I'm a GM convert so I'm not use to talking about dodge stuff
I consider all Hemi RAMS a 5.7 Like mine but I guess all Hemi's aren't 5.7
Second Trans is auto
Truck has 106xxx miles.
I've never serviced it I just bought it 3000 miles ago...
Option 1:
I ask my the service department at the GM dealership I work for to flush the trans but they said they couldn't do it because they don't have the right adapter or something.
Do you all recommend Spending the $$$ at dodge to get it flushed or...
Option 2:
I can by a used trans for $350 and have it rebuilt before this one craps out?
Has anyone had similar problems I don't want to waste money on a flush if the trans is gonna die soon
p.s. ARE THESE TRANS JUNK? I'VE ALWAYS BEEN TOLD THEY ARE?

Has anyone on here replaced there stock torque converter with a aftermarket with a little bit more stall?
I still want to tow but I know on the GM trucks a better torque converter can really wake those trucks up.
Any suggestions?
