A/C compressor squeals

Default A/C compressor squeals

i just replaced my water pump, t-stat, and serpentine belt but now my compressor squeals when i turn the a/c on maybe i got anti freeze on something?

Maybe try spraying it good with carb or brake clearer and then a good silicon lubricant

just gave that a try, it cleared up for almost a minute then started again... is there bearings that maybe arent packed so good anymore?

if it persists for more than 300 miles the bearings might be shot... are you running the A/C when it squeals? or it squeals no matter what?

Buy a new belt, use brake cleaner to clean all the pulleys, then install new belt. Once the belt gets impregnated with antifreeze, oil, grease, etc. it's nearly impossible to really clean the offending chemical out without soaking the belt in chemicals that will break the belt down and ultimately destroy it earlier than normal
