Default 06 Laramie 98K - Good Deal?

Hey guys - I found another 5.9 which appears to be in better shape, my only concern is it has 98k miles. I'm looking to tow an RV within the next 3-4 years (buy the truck first, RV second), but i'm concerned that by then it'll have around 160k on it (Is this a valid concern?)

What are your thoughts? Dealer is asking 29k which I think is a little high. But it's a one-owner truck and has a clean carfax.

Vehicle History report -> http://autocheck.dealer.com/cgi-bin/...KS26D86G242733

The dealer is about 2 hours away, so it would be a haul to go out.

Here are the pics.

That vehicle does not match the report you posted. You may want to check that out. Something not right. To verify, just take a look at the report, it says regular cab. The Vin in the report is a Patriot Blue truck.

Grabbed the wrong link from their site - sorry.

They are offering 29,995 and won't go a dime under 29,000. I was trying to push 27,500 which I think is more reasonable - maybe they will call me back later and offer it - I guess time will tell but for now I told them I'm going to keep looking.

Your better off looking for something else. Even 27 is high for an 06

The 5.9 CTD are highly desired, where as the new 6.7 are not because of the emissons crap on it, ball joints, all drive u joints are issues with thease trucks as dodge went crazy with non serviceable parts... check the left drag link (under wheel hub) if its a compression fit (no bolt) you have to keep up on greasing the socket joint, or its going to pop out (because thiers no bolt to hold it togethier)

That truck on a delaer lot here in calgary would be priced arround the mid thirtys...

Cyclone429 pretty well hit the nail on the head... 30k may be a little high. I bought my 06 in 2010 w/ 80k kms on it, and its a Laramie Megcab for $29500. I've been offered as high as $35000 cash USD when I was in the USA in 2010 on vacation... but my truck is awesome and I won't give it up. Gonna roll it to 1,000,000kms if I can.

Just replaced the U joints in the front on the axle, the calipers on the front, compressor clutch and a couple other A/C related issues.

But the engine starts every time, hauls axx when the skinny is depressed, and pulls my travel trailer like its not even behind it.

I think $2700.00 would be a good price for a cash no trade deal. I have a 06 with the hemi its a larime also and its a great truck. I bought it 2 years ago and paid 1700.00 for it but its not a 5.9 and you can figure about 10,000.00 more for a 6.9. Go on ebay and check there prices that will give you a good idea of what to expect to get one for. Again I have a 06 laramie hemi and its a wonderful truck. Mine had 65,000 miles on it and I am in Illinois

That is an absolutely fair price for the 5.9 CTD engine, and the Laramie trim level.... I'd buy that truck up for $29,000 ASAP! if you take care of it you'll get 1,000,000 + miles out of her or more!
