another 3.7L exhaust question
www. the fastman.com tell him you talked to kyle, hes the guy with the 11 sec. dakota, really cool guy to talk to, he bores out an oem throttle body and replaces the stock throttle plate with a brass one, nothing to crazy, just a little more than oem, think i paid a $180 for mine, that and a cai is what i call a cool air intake, bunch of companys make them, just dont buy the ones that cost more than 180, not worth it, you can mod your own, whatever you do, its a good idea to keep all original parts, that way you can put em back on when u see the dealer, most mods wont void your warranty, but i like to play it safe.
cons=you have too use good gas, take it off before you see the dealer, $215 is too much for what it does, definetly no WOW affect
pros= big company, stand behind there products, does help performance, does help gas milage depending on your foot, better gas is better for your motor PERIOD, and without a chip, or a timing advance(pcm flash) your truck does not know that it is getting a higher octane fuel
now there are some better flash products out, but they are a like underground products from smaller companys, they do more but also might do too much, and you hace to actually send them your pcm, or ecu, the computer , whatever you want to call it, and it cost like $400
so to answer your question, no they are not worth the $215
if they were like $125, then yes easy mod, and I like running better fuel, and my truck can beat a 4.7 v8 stock 0-60, and besides for running nos, where we have to tread lightly so we dont blow a head gasket at the least, there is not much else to do to these trucks, so for now, I like the chip, but in the begining of the comming year im getting a flash and a 75 shot of zex, and I wont need the chip, so maybe ill sell mine for $100, now if you find a deal like that, DO IT

Damn, I was driving by a Dakota yesterday and it had dual exhaust. When that guy pressed on the gas, that sounded so nice and mean. I had to ask what he had and he said Magnaflow, but then we had to move and could not get the part number. But man, it was nice. I was like " I better not get it over 3000rpms".
I had a magnaflow on my 6. But then I got smart and got the 50's SI/DO. haha
