Default Need some advice.

Hey guys, I could use some help here. So I have a blown 4.7 in my 02 dodge ram 1500. I know this has been talked about many times but hear me out.

I'm going to take a look at it, and see if it can be rebuilt. Can someone tell me what to look for here? It has a blown rod, and it decided to come out of the oil pan. I don't know exactly what is too much damage to repair or what isn't.

There aren't many 4.7's with the jtec 16tooth available, except one from a jeep Cherokee 2000. I have heard this will work and won't work in different threads.
Thanks for any info!

There is a LOT to look for when rebuilding a damaged motor. I would seriously consider having a professional take a look at it (even if you disassemble it first)

I figured so, I guess it will be easier to swap it. This is my first swap so I'd like t keep it simple. From all my research it seems the Cherokee will fit with minor mods. Will headers from a ram 4.7 fit on the jeep 4.7? I have read that I need to use different exhaust manifolds with this swap?

Thanks, I'm not qualified to diagnose anything like that.

Thanks a lot. I don't know much about the 4.7 in particular but I'm sure there are a few people knowledgeable that will chime in about what will swap easy
