Lost on which Shocks to use
New to forum, have an '04 1500 reg cab 4x4 with a six inch suspension lift and need to replace shocks, but can't find shocks that fit that criteria anywhere online... any suggestions?
If you call a 4 Wheel Parts store, they have a database they can reference. You tell 'em what you own and how much suspension lift and they can give you fitment for any brand they sell. ProComp, Rancho, Skyjacker, Rough Country, etc...
Go to www.summitracing.com
From there you can enter in your trucks info and then selected "raised" and the height you have lifted your truck and it will show you all the available shocks they have that fit your criteria.
There prices and customer service are pretty good in my experience too.

The correct way to do it is pull opposit corners, flex out the truck as far as it will go and measure bolt hole to bolt hole on the disconnected sides (that gives you extended length, then measure bolt hole to bolt hole on the connected sides (that gives you collapsed length) and then you can look up the specs on the shocks and pick the exact ones that are correct for your rig.
remember to compensate for bump stop compression.
