Default DANG! more tranny issues

2005 ram 1500 Hemi.

Tranny seviced about 3000 miles ago (fluid flush and filters). Then had isssues with delay going into gear and stalling. found I was a quart low on atf so added a quart and it seemed to take care of those issues. Now I've noticed that if i punch the accelerator the tranny slips . The way it sounded was like i broke tracktion and was doing a good burn out , but no such luck it was the tranny slipping. LOL

Now what do i do? or check , or any suggestions?

Are you sure it wasn't torque management engaging? Check the fluid right after it has been run for a while and still hot, see if there is any burned clutch smell or discoloration.

If the clutches are burned at all, the life of the tranny in the near future would be in question in my book.

when you say slipping is it just a momentary slip or is it a drawn out slip until all of a sudden it grabs hard?

more like the drawn out, like i was diong a burny then it connected and took off like a rochet. (well, maybe not like a rocket)

Let me add that i only did that once because i thought something was wrong. It was from a..as I slowed down to make a turn onto a cross road and after i made the turn i kicked it down as i was going up a hill.

Mine does the same thing, it's just the way the TC acts to limit torque getting pounded to the ground causing you to lose control in a turn or transitioning on a turn to an upgrade.

Without that "slip" or TC hold up, your wheels would almost immediately spin causing you to lose control.

It sounds pretty normal.

If you want to minimize that occurrence you can start with a tuner (like Superchips) and then move up to a better Torque Converter... Your call there.

If it holds up on dry road in a straight line, then you might want to get the rear diff cover off as well as the transfer case cover off to take a look and see what might be going on.

the problem you described, if it happens when you take of in a straight line then there might be something wrong...
