Default Installing Comp 268 Cam

I got a 268 cam from moesperfomance and installed it on Sunday. I am waiting on the valve spring tool to come in and will change the springs out. Will update with video when all is done.

Excuse my language, but DA** that BI*** sounds good. LOL. I can't wait to do that to my Daytona. Did you install the cam yourself?

Yeah I did it myself. Very straight forward install. This was my first major internal upgrade. I have always worked on my vehicles and watch my dad growing up(he did major stuff). The easy part is the Cam and the hardest part form me was the spring. Make sure you either rent the spring tool from AIRRAM or buy it.

I am going to post a video of the cutout closed and with the cutout open in one video so people can hear the difference.

Oh it took me about a week because I work two jobs and had to wait on the spring tool. Plus when ever I would work on it my 3 year old son would want to help.

Haha right on man. Sounds like my brother and my niece. Every time he's doing something she starts grabbing his tools. But thanks for the tip about using the spring tool.

I'm curious about the valve spring tool. Is this the type that attaches to the rocker stud and you depress the spring to remove the retainers? Did you use compressed air to hold the valves shut?

Exactly!

It attaches with the original rocker arm bolts. Then you put that cylinder at TDC. After that cylinder is at TDC you add the air and use a socket to tighten the bolt to compress the spring. Very simple and easy. The other spring compressor tools at the autoparts store will work but only with standard spring. If you have springs with a metal jacket, bucket, or whatever you want to call it those spring compressor will not compress the springs enough
