because if new members actually took the time to read the FAQs and Stickies it would answer nearly 99% of their questions.

I've got 16,000 posts on a Mercedes forum. I know all about redundant threads.....especially on a mature forum for old cars. Been there, done that. Been there, done that. Been there, done that. AND...oil threads drive me the most crazy.
But, I'm also lazy at times, thus the redundant question....which, as it turns out, gleaned some information!

I'll come up with a sneakier way to ask what octane to use.

These questions are sometimes silly. And sometimes valid. Most of these questions can be answered on the internet, thru search engines. and 98% of them can be found with skillful wording in the search forum tool( thats if you want to read thru alot of posts for an hours, depending on how good you worded your search).

And those who dont like kicking the dead horse can simply not reply. Move onto the next thread. Or send a link to the forum guides. with reference to the search tools.

Oh and for fuel. Just use 87

Finding the right words for a search can be tricky but so is landing on answers that apply to your specific case ie location/weather/driving style. There's often some minor variance that may call for a so called redundant post... If someone takes the time to write up a question with a good description/detail, I have no issue with that. Simply asking what plugs should I use might be a bit of a drag, but this case the question included pricing, gap and preference which could in theory vary based on Canadian winters vs Southern States. If nothing else a quick link to a FYI/DYI can be posted and everyone moves on. No harm done.

Are there others out there that the members like and are reasonably priced?
I think I need 16 of them...yes? Gap at .043?

Any "watch out for" s?
Changed my plugs yesterday to those very ones... Champion's...
I've never used anything but, so have no clue on others.

Yep you'll need 16 and the gap is .045

Watch out for scrapes and cuts on your hands trying to get to the back of the engine... Its a pain! But take your time and just realize it won't be a quick job. Don't forget the Anti-seize!

Dont be hindered to ask other questions, just think that all questions have been asked, check the search tool. you might get your answers quicker, and friendlier

Yes I'm not trying to stop you from asking questions at all. Just check other posts first to see if they can help you so you can ask a better question that better fits your situation. I've asked plenty of questions that were already answered generally but sometimes they didn't answer the question for my specific situation.

gap at .45 i did the rear ones by the booster first as they are the hardest to reach/get too. im 6'6 250 aqnd do not have small arms or hands. get a universal joint adapter as well. i used that and an extension. I put the spark plug socket in then the extension and then the adapter and wrench. good luck and btw dodges love champs. anything else is just uncivilized
