Hey anybody have a little advice. My 2003 Dodge Ram was broken into and I can not get it started. They broke into at the drivers door under the handle. I guess it shut the computer down. How do I reset or is this dealer issue.
I'd do the dealer just in case the spawn of camel dung might have jimmied the ingnition with a tool and did the embed for the key a number.Insurance should cover the cost.Just a thought..........

I didnt understand a word you said. othe than insurance covers it.
insurance will only cover stuff over your deductible. I doubt that'll happen in this case.
Breaking into your truck by jimmying under the door handle is not enough to stop your truck from starting or driving. They might have either cut an ignition wire or broke your ignition cylinder.

Check under your steering column for any cut wires. They probably tried to hot wire it. On my truck I have a yellow wire that controls ignition.
ya I have an 03 ram it does depend on what your deductible is but insurance will cover over your deductible. If you lose your keys and have a low enough deductible they will cover a re-key but that has to be asked for not something they offer (i work in insurance). There is nothing in the door that will disable the ignition system. Like above stated check your ignition switch and under the column that is what I have found before.
