Default Stall and shifting drivers seat

Ive prompted Dodge to let them know about a problem Ive (and others according to this group) been having with stalling and the drivers seat.

Quoted below is the email string .....

QUOTE

Dear Christopher,

Thank you for your recent email to DaimlerChrysler regarding your
concerns with your 2005 Dodge Ram.

If Morgan Chrysler has determined that the issues with your truck are a
normal characteristic of the vehicle, there would be nothing that could
be done to "fix" the situations described. If you disagree with their
diagnosis, you may want to seek a second opinion from another
DaimlerChrysler dealership.

Thank you again for your email.

My 05 Ram is quickly reaching the 36,000 mile mark. I have had it in
many times in attempt to get two major issues corrected. The first is the
stalling problem. The second is the driver seat shifting around. In
both cases, Keith at Morgan Dodge has been receptive to my problems however
he could not fix these issues.
I have done some background checking and these two problems are characteristic of the RAMs.
In fact, I had both issues with my 03 Ram. The 03 was a 4.7 which
means that the problem is not isolated to the Hemi. I find it hard to
believe that engineers have not defined and corrected these two
problems.
If these issues arent corrected I will have no other choice but to refer this to a lawyer. I dont want to
get into a big bunch of legal bull. I love that truck and just want the problems corrected.

Actually, I have already refered this to nclemonlaw.com ... I would rather not pursue that path but may be forced to do so.

At any rate, I do love the truck and would like to get these two issues resolved.

Has anyone been successful with fixing either or both of these issues ?

Thanks guys and gals !!

You best bet it to used the search feature for stall and stalling. But the symptom is rough idle and the truck just stalling / cutting off with warning. This occurred on my 03 and 05 ... the 06 hasnt done it yet but does idle rough.

my drivers seat shifts around to and it drives me nuts. I thought maybe it was just me but is there a bigger problem that a lot of people are having. I figured the dealer would just laugh at me.

There's a check valve or return solenoid in the 4.7's fuel system that fails... A LOT... Get that replaced.

What are these seat issues you speak of?
I actually liked my 03's seats better than my 06's...

arrowman, this issue is not isolated to the 4.7. My 03 was a 4.7 and my 05 was a 5.7. Both had the issues and the 06 exhibits a few issues also ....no stalling yet.

I have a 2003 and I notice it - it's slight and not more than a quarter of an inch at most. I wrote it off to the power seats (first vehicle I have owned with power seats) and the gear drives that move them.

my seat moved in my 2005 Hemi Quad Cab around quite a bit. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the track portion of my power seat. It went away for a few months, but now its back again. I took it back to the dealer and they made "adjustments" but it is still doing it. The service guy told me this is normal for a power seat, but that is a bunch of bull. I have had plently of vehicles with power seats and this is the first one that moves when you hit the brakes. My wifes Mustang is 3 years older than my Hemi and her seat doesnt move at all.
Let me know if you get any resolve with Dodge, cause I certainly want this fixed.
