I think hes talking about the lights on the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. That is also one thing that I wondered about in my 02, why no lights? They are easy to get used to though, and now when using the cruise control buttons on my 12 F150 I keep reaching in the same spot they were in on my Ram out of habit.

As far as the exhaust, Im sure it will sound sweet. You would have gotten better sound and performance from a Magnaflow IMO. A spell checker on forums is you best friend. There are plenty free ones out there, just search for them in Google.
