I had the same on minbe at one time. It would work up to about 50mph and cut off. I replaced the wheel hub assembly (during maintenance) and it worked thereafter

 

Already replaced both wheel hubs, no different. Tire size has been increased, but, it worked after that too. I had the speedo recalibrated for the increase in tire size. wonder if that did it.

 

weedahoe, I understand you make custom radio bezels? Might need something down the road as my current radio is giving me fits. I have the factory Nav/Sat/AM-FM/CD player in my 2004 2500 and the LED isn't working right. Might change over to something better.
