2005 Cummins oil drain plug tool
Hi, Where can I get a tool to remove the oil drain plug?
Changing oil for first time myself.....SURPRISE there isn't a bolt with a washer; There's a square (not hex) hole in the plug... Okay, so I went to Dodge and SURPRISE, the plugs are replaced each time! $18 for a flipin plug! Okay so I ordered one. Now I can't find a square (allen wrench type) tool to unscrew the plug..........I am now preparing for another surprise that the drain plug must be drilled and extracted! PLEASE tell me this aint so.
Take care,
Perru

I've changed my oil 6-7 times on my truck and have not needed to replace the plug.
It has a rubber seal incorperated into the plug.
Like scatpac said, just use a 3/8 extention (with out a socket) on a standard ratchet.
