Default SRT8 6.1 exhaust manifold fitment in 06 5.7 QC?

I recently saw an article online where some guys were playing with a junkyard 5.7 and an engine dyno, and they used old SRT8 exhaust manifolds from a charger. They bolt right up and flow better than the log style truck manifolds.

The problem is, they never actually mentioned whether the SRT manifolds fit in a Ram....

Ive browsed the headers sticky but didnt see anything, has anybody tried/heard about fitting SRT stock manifolds into a Ram? There are several sets on ebay for less than $100.

Or do you think its not worth the hassle to plumb the Y pipe, just shell out for real headers?

Thanks.

The LX SRT manifolds do not fit in a Ram. The SRT GC manifolds do however fit in a 4th gen Ram (dunno about a 3rd gen).

If i remember correctly "fast4.7' over on DT did this with a set of GC SRT exhaust manifolds, but ended up ditching them. He originally wanted to pass visual and emissions inspection and was having trouble with the O2's throwing codes or something like that.

No inspections to pass here, i was just looking for something cheap to pull some more power out of it.

I lucked out, a charger SRT came in for an alignment and i took some measurements. Theyre so much shorter (14" IIRC) that it would be too much of a pain to fab up a Y pipe. I cant find any GC SRT manifolds.

I'll probably just hold out for some real headers.

Yea sorry I read the post wrong lol. I though he was talking about the intake manifold. I haven't heard headers used properly in awhile. My bad

Like I said, I don't know if the SRT Grand Cherokee ones will fit a 3rd gen. I saw a set on ebay not too long ago.

They will be significantly shorter.... you will need to fabricate a Y-Pipe or something of that nature to make it work right.

If they do fit, they definitely will not be plug-n-play.
