Default Dimming Headlights

So I can't find much help with this so I'm hoping you guys can provide some insight. Recently I have notioced that when braking my headlights dim for a few seconds and then go back to normal, but this only happens at a medium to hard brake. Any idea what could be causing this?

mine does this too! I didn't notice it until I replaced the factory bulbs. My old 03 ram didn't do it.

My thinking is that its probably the same reason they dim when you use the power windows. But, I'm not a mechanic or expert and can't claim to be.

I haven't tested to see if it still does it without the Fogs on.

Could it be your ABS kicking in? I know my lights dim when my rear abs kicks in.

I dunno about the OP but my lights dim just under regular braking...

the ABS wouldn't kick in unless you were braking hard, correct?

that's a good possibility because they only dim during medium to hard braking, but they didn't do it before so I'm wondering what's making them do it now.

If you remove the bulbs for the brake lights and see if they still dim, I think that would narrow it down to the ABS if the light still dim without the brake bulbs in.
