Default P0846...but no problems?

I had my MIL come on today so I checked the codes and got P0846.

According to what I've seen I should be in limp mode but it isn't.

I'm confused on this one....there is no indication of a problem.

I had the same issue on my old 2003 dodge, I ended up changing the sensor and it fixed the problem. Since you are saying that it's not acting in limp mode then I would disconnect your battery for about 15 min and let the computer completly reset and see if the code goes away before spending money on the sensor. The computer could have glitched and it's throwing that code. Thats where I would start. Good luck!

I cleared the code using my scanner, but I should also add that there was no code.

The MIL was on, and I got this code once, but before I found the code 2 prior scans showed nothing, no codes, just the MIL was on.

Scanned it today with the MIL on and there was no code stored....but I cleared it and the MIL is now gone.
