Ive had my new truck right at 2 weeks now. it is a 06 ram 1500 slt trx4 reg cab long box. ive been reading around that the trx 4's are supposed to have skid plates, and tow hooks. but mine has neither of those. it has the decals on the bed of the truck. i went as far as tracking down a build sheet. it doesnt say anywhere trx 4 option but here are a few of the key hilites of the truck, maybe someone slapped stickers on and called it good??

205mm HD front axle
3.55 axle ratio
corporate 9.25 ld rear axle
anti spin differential rear axle
front and rear heavy duty shock absorbers
p265/70/r17 all season tires
4x4 tracking
heavy duty engine cooling
heavy duty transmission oil cooler

any input would be helpful thanks guys

 

I thought the TRX-4 came OEM with a Limited Slip Diff with 3.92 Gears??

If the buildsheet doesn't say that it was a TRX-4 package from the factory then it definitely isn't a TRX-4....

A Previous owner may have put the stickers on OR swapped a new bed on there from a TRX-4.

I would check the CARFAX on it and see if it sustained any kind of damage that was reported...

 

Does the sticker actually say "TRX4" or just "TRX"? Both were packages. But I believe the TRX was just a sticker package or something unimportant. Anyways, yea you definitely don't have a TRX4. Not with those 3.55s, all season tires and I'm pretty sure the TRX4 didn't come in RCLB. Thats not a good offroad combo

i didnt get charged extra, still got it well under book....been a excellent truck so far. im not bummed about it not being a trx 4. no biggie

 

I think you likely have one. I see ZERO mention of gears in the TRX (2x) or TRX4 (4x) package.

It's not like it's collectible or worth anymore
