Hypertech Power Programmer won't program for my new tire size?
Hey guys, I just got a new to me truck and put new wheels/tires on it after only owning it for 2 weeks. I went with the Cooper Zeon LTZ in the 305/50R20 and a leveling job. I really like the look.
The truck came with a Hypertech Power Programmer III when I bought it. It says it can program for different size tires, so today I went to program it and it never gave me that option. I called up Hypertech and they said their programmer won't adjust for tire sizes on the 2002 Dodge Ram. What the?
So if their programmer doesn't work, is my only option going to the Dodge dealer or buying a different programmer? I'd like to keep the Hypertech engine tuning programmed, but if the dealer messes with it will it be put back to stock? Wondering if anyone had experience with this, thanks!

Superchips is much better for the 02. Big gains on the 5.9L I hear.
Put the stock tune in it before having the dealer reflash or you will lose your tune and lock up the programmer because they lock to the vin# when used to tune a truck. You will then have to pay Hypertech to unlock your unit.
I would buy a Superchip tuner before paying a dealer to change the tire size. They will probably charge an hour labor which is usually $75 to $100.
