the only thing that made a big difference in the damage of my truck is the massive tow hook bar on the front. everything is mashed around it and you can see where it took a direct hit, no visible damage other than scratches. lol. amazing! no wonder these things have 5 star front crash rating! oak trees are scared!

 

that sucks man, fighting with insurance adjusters is no fun. Just remember to not say ok until you are satisfied. Keep talking to higher managers until you get want you want. They will definitely try to screw you out of $ if they can, but if you stand you're ground you may get some back.

Or, like my insurance company, they may use an "outside" service to determine the value of your car and say they have no ability to change what they are giving you. BS. Even when it's not your fault accidents are such a hassle.

 

finally able to get forum to load. dont know why it would be heres the update:

the kids insurance company (state farm) was VERY fair with the settlement of the truck. after payoff i had $3K leftover.

drove all over, scoured sites and lots. found 2 trucks local to me. 1 was POS the other was all blinged up and dealer wanted crazy amount for it, did bait and switch on me....

drove 4 hours to Atlanta yesterday to get new truck. 2009 Ram 1500 TRX. its freaking sweet! mint condition, drove by a 65 year old man one owner. the only options missing are sun/moon roof, leather and power seat. im afraid to get this thing dirty! lol.
