Default Programmer Question

Hi I've just recently purchased an 03 Dodge Ram 1500 and with it the guy gave me a SuperChips programmer. I've programmed mine to 87 octane for better mpg's... My question is.. My uncle is down here for a few days to stay with us he will be going back to kansas ( bout 3 hours away ) ... My question is if A) Could I use that programmer to also program his vehicle to get better MPG.. or is it locked to 1 vehicle? b) Would there be any downsides to doing this if i can do it ... Let me know what you all think!

Nope, each truck needs it's own tuner. Sell him yours and you go buy a SCT tuner.

2003 Dodge Ram is actually a 3rd gen truck, not a 2nd gen. Moving you there.

Yep the tuner is VIN locked to whatever vehicle has the tune installed on. Also for the record you'll actually get better MPG from the Performance tune believe it or not.

What 08 said. I get about 3 mpg better on performance tune compared to economy in my 02.
