I mounted my ballasts on the frame above the fog lights with double sided 3M tape and zap straps. Your ballast may come with a mounting bracket that you can bolt to the frame using a self tapping metal screw rather than using tape. Just make sure the connections on the ballast are facing down so if any water gets on them it will run off and not get into the connections.

Halogen Silverstar 9006 bulbs put out about 1000 lumens. Your HID 6000k bulbs with 35w ballasts should produce 3000 lumens. If they aren't brighter than your silverstars something is very wrong!

I'm sure they'll be brighter, I just don't know exactly what they're going to look like. The few people I know who have HID's all have the blue-as-hell ones and I didn't want that. Just hope it won't look too tacky with the silverstar headlights and HID fogs lol, gotta do what I can afford at the moment.
I keep thinking "should i have ordered 55w instead?" lol

Just make sure you buy them from a reputable vendor... Personally I like "The Retrofit Source"
Only had one problem out of about 80 kits I've installed from them, and they sent new ones out on next day air free of charge to fix that one bad set.
Give their site a search you might be more inclined to go with them over a kit made in China...
The best Ballasts I've ever used were made in Japan, so I'll swear by Morimoto Ballasts.
