To add to my statement above.
Since when did oil have a shelf life? Last time I checked it's like a billion years old pulled from the ground.
Screw that 6mo interval. I put like 3kmi a year on my truck and change my oil once a year! Any residual moisture should be burned off at operating temps so there's no reason to change that frequently just because you hit the 6mo interval prior to your mileage specific interval.
Ohh, I see now....it says "reccomended" not mandatory.
"Synthetic engine oils may be used if the recommended oil quality requirements are met and the recommended maintenance intervals, 6 months or 10,000km, whichever occurs first, are followed."
Now I'm just being a wise ***..haha
